Endorsements that Matter

Susan Justice, Ed.D.

I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Justice for 10+ years while she served as the Title I Director for Greenville County Schools. She always fought for what was right for our students and I am very thankful for the mentorship and friendship we developed over the years.

Volers of District 26 of Greenville County Schools, SC:

Vote responsibly for Stephanie Meek for School Board Member. No one advocates for student achievement more than Stephanie. A product of District 26 schools, a former teacher in a District 26 school, and a Greenville County Schools administrator for years, Stephanie always stands for the best interest of students, teachers, and parents. She bases decisions on student need and achievement data, not on favoritism. Stephanie takes politics out of education and concentrates on teaching and learning to advance ALL Greenville Schools, not a personal agenda. I have known Stephanie professionally and personally for almost 30 years, and she is a genuine, intelligent, and fair person who will guide the school district in focused and informed leadership. Vote for EXPERIENCE in education! Vote for Stephanie Meek.

Sean Higgins

Sean's daughter Kayleigh, was best friends with our next door neighbor, and all of the our kids grew up playing together. I have had the privilege of watching Kayleigh grow up over the years and am so thankful for what a wonderful young lady she continues to grow into and the example she sets for my daughter. Kayleigh is now a Junior at Easley High School.

Stephanie Meek has been a Godsend in my daughter's and my life. During times of covid, it was impossible to find daycare and desperation set in. Stephanie found out about this and she decided to help me by letting me drop my child off at her house while I went to work. She was not only helping me babysit but she also helped her with homework and school. This to me was the most selfless act to help someone, as her mother was very ill at the time. She took a great risk to have my daughter and I come and go from her house. This could have had devastating effects for her, her own kids or her mother. Stephanie literally put her own family at risk to help another... I will forever be in debt to her for all her help. Imagine what she could do for the Greenville County school system and community and the positive vibes for all. So I am asking everyone in District 26, Greenville school district to vote Stephanie Meek for school board trustee. Thank you and God bless, just look at my Kayleigh now!

TJ Rumler

TJ and I attended Tanglewood and Carolina together, both in all Honors' classes, so you could say we followed each other around all day! I later had the honor of working with TJ, as he provided services to all the high schools, in drop-out prevention and attendance services. We continue to work together at Carolina HIgh as alumni and community members.

Tonight was a pretty special full-circle moment. I got to be there as my longtime friend, Stephanie Meek, announced her candidacy for the Greenville County School Board, in District 26. I could not be prouder of her.

Stephanie and I have known each other for more than 30 years. We met at Tanglewood Middle School and eventually graduated together from Carolina High School. Go Trojans!

Years later, our paths crossed again professionally when we both worked in Greenville County Schools. I had the opportunity to see Stephanie's work up close, not just at the school level, but across the district. I've watched her grow up from someone with classroom and school-based experience into a leader, who understands the bigger picture of how schools, families, communities, and systems all intersect.

And public education is quite literally part of her family story. Her dad, Roger Meek, served for many years on the Greenville County School Board, including as it's chair. Stephanie brings that legacy of service with her, but she has also built a body of experience and a voice that are very much her own.

What makes me especially proud is knowing her heart for kids and her commitment to making sure all students have access to the opportunities, resources, support, and education they deserve, particularly the students and families of District 26.

Steph, I'm proud of you, my friend. Proud of where you've been, proud of what you've built, and excited to see where this next chapter takes you.

If you live in District 26, I hope you'll take the time to learn more about Stephanie Meek, her experience, and her vision for our schools. I'm proud to support her!

Crystal Tuttle Ligon

When I was in college and my early 20's I served as a youth mentor and teacher in my church. I watched Crystal grow up from the time I was 13 and she always had a smile on her face and a sweet sense of humor. Like many teens, Crystal didn't come from a perfect family and she relied on her church family for support and guidance. I am beyond blessed Crystal remembers that time and me as someone she could talk to and look for support through.

Over the years Crystal and I have stayed in touch (one of the blessings we do have from social media). I have been in awe watching Crystal's life, love and motherhood through foster care and adoption. She is an advocate of children, of the safety of our children, of love, of acceptance and of friendship. Crystal was a great source of comfort and support for my family personally when we were dealing with family illness and my mother's passing.

I'm thankful for my friendship with Crystal and grateful for the beautiful words she has shared about our lifelong connection and friendship.

I met Stephanie when I was in middle school and not only did we grow up together, but because she was a little older than me she became more than just a person I went to church with, hung out with, and did life with; she became a mentor.

During my time in the youth group she was a volunteer and her love for students was evident in her ability to connect, direct, and provide guidance on various different levels.

Not all of us learned the same nor did we all have the same passions, yet she was able to be a light and a driving force in what we were interested in as if we were the only ones she was mentoring.

Her passion for the community and outreach was just as evident then as it is now, especially with the students, teachers, and families in District 26.

I have watched her teach, fundraise, advocate, and promote inclusion throughout the almost 30 years that I have known her. Even more so after she became a mother she wanted all children to reap the effects of her advocacy as much as her own.

She is an honest, loyal, inclusive, and a compassionate example of what it means to lead with grace and integrity.

She has followed a path of education and being the voice that so many wish they had in order to provide students, teachers, and the community what they need to thrive and be successful.

Stephanie shows others what it is like to truly be the good that she wants to see within her community and beyond.

Her voice, resolution, dedication, yearning, and knowledge would be an asset to District 26 and the surrounding communities that she serves.

A vote for Stephanie Meek is a vote for the students, staff, and community of District 26.

It is a vote for transparency, faithfulness, advocacy, compassion, equality, inclusion, and so much more.

From the community; for the community!

Vote Stephanie Meek on November 3, 2026!
