Why am I running for School Board?
I believe in the strength, resilience, and potential of our community.
Like every parent, I want our children to attend schools where they are safe, supported, and prepared for success. Every family deserves confidence that their child is receiving a high-quality education, regardless of where they live in Greenville County.
While many areas of Greenville have seen tremendous growth and success, there are still areas in District 26 that are struggling. We have more families and employees who are facing financial hardships than ever before and those struggles pour into our schools every day. We need to be diligent in our efforts to make sure the children in our schools have what they need to be successful in their learning.
Voters in District 26 know our focus must remain on the real issues that directly impact students and teachers on a daily basis. We need to strengthen reading and comprehension skills, support real-world mathematics learning, expand opportunities in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, and help students develop the critical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary for future success.
We must also ensure our schools provide safe, welcoming environments where students can learn, grow, and discover their unique gifts. Strong arts programs, career exploration opportunities, and student support systems all play an important role in helping children reach their full potential.
Public education is one of the most important investments a community can make. What our students learn today shapes the future of Greenville County tomorrow. Every child deserves access to excellent educational opportunities, and every community deserves leadership that is present, informed, and focused on student success.
I am running because District 26 deserves a School Board Trustee who will listen, show up, work hard, and advocate for all students, teachers, and families.

1. Safe & Supportive Schools
Every student and employee deserves a safe and welcoming school to learn and work.
Students need to be welcomed and feel safe and supported in our classrooms. I will advocate for secure campuses, strong student support systems, and programs that address the real challenges facing our children today.
- Ensure student and staff safety- including more support for bullying and social media dangers
- Supporting gang prevention and education
- Increase substance-abuse prevention and education
2. Lifelong Achievement Starts Early
Building strong foundations for student growth and success must begin with early learning and family programs.
Success begins long before graduation. I will always support early learning opportunities and partnerships with our families. Our children and youth need affordable and quality programs to participate in, outside of the classroom.
- Support the expansion of early learning and family engagement partnerships
- Increase community support for District 26 schools
- Support more opportunities for affordable, quality out of school time opportunities for our students
3. Responsible Stewardship
Protecting our community's investment in education.
Our public education dollars should be used to support student achievement and school safety as our first priorities. I will advocate for transparent conversations, creative solutions, and responsible budgets, that keeps the needs and safety of our students first.

4. Supporting Teachers & Staff
A teacher can change a child's life forever.
Teachers and staff are at the heart of student success. The dedicated members of a school staff work tirelessly day and night to make sure our students receive the best education possible. I will work to support their dedication and make sure they are both respected and appreciated.

- Increase hiring and retention of the best teachers, administrators and staff for the unique needs of District 26
- Listen to teacher needs and provide the support they need successful and content in their employment
- Support quality professional development that helps teachers and staff expand their knowledge and skills for classroom success
5. Preparing Students for Success
Helping students succeed in school and beyond graduation.
Every student deserves opportunities to discover their strengths and prepare for their future. I support programs that help students explore college, career, and workforce pathways while building the skills they need for lifelong success.
- Provide support for drop-out prevention and increasing the number of students who graduate
- Provide more support to help students discover both college and career pathways after graduation
- Increase opportunities for internships, career exposure and real world experiences to further support college and workforce readiness
