A Lifetime of Service

I am a lifelong Greenville County resident, educator, parent, and advocate who believes strong schools build strong communities.

As a proud Tanglewood Centurion and Carolina High Trojan, I have spent my life serving the community that helped me grow into my potential.

For more than 20 years, I have worked as a classroom teacher and district administrator, partnering with schools, educators, students, and families throughout Greenville County.

Today, my connection to District 26 is both professional and personal. My children attend District 26 schools and like you, I am invested in ensuring our schools remain places where every child can learn, grow, and thrive.

Who is Stephanie?

Teacher. Parent. Community Volunteer.

Teacher. Parent. Community Volunteer.

Teacher. Parent. Community Volunteer.

Growing up, I attended schools in the westside of Greenville, and am a proud graduate of Carolina High. After graduating from Clemson University with a BA in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Early Intervention Services, I became a teacher and later a District Administrator. I also have a Master's Degree in Education from Columbia College, with a focus in Divergent Learning.

I am a mother to three beautiful children and also the neighborhood mama and "auntee" to many more. My daughter Emelia, attends Westcliffe Elementary and my identical twin sons, Benjamin and Jonathan, are now carrying on the family tradition, as Carolina High Trojans.

When I'm not carpooling, I volunteer in our church, local non-profit organizations and in my children's schools. I have tried to spend my life serving the same community who helped me discover my talents and grow into my potential.

I am invested in ensuring our schools are places where every child is safe and can learn, grow, and thrive.

Service Runs in My Family

Teacher. Parent. Community Volunteer.

I learned the value of service from my parents, who spent countless evenings and weekends volunteering in our schools, churches and community.

I have fond memories of the volleyball and cheerleading teams piling in our family suburban and my dad chauffeuring us to games when there weren't enough buses available.

My parents example taught me strong communities are built by people who show up, get involved, and give back. These lifelong values guide me today as I volunteer in our schools, participate in parent leadership organizations, support athletic programs, serve in our church, and remain actively engaged in the community I love.

I want my children to learn OUR community is OUR responsibility. If we want something to be better, we have to be willing to step up and work to make it better.

Many of the schools in District 26 need more community support. We have students and families who are struggling. I am working hard to help encourage more community support and partnerships with local churches and organizations.

25+ Years in Education

After graduating from Clemson, I went back to the community I grew up in to serve as a teacher and District Administrator.

When I started teaching, I asked which schools had the most difficult challenges, and that is where I wanted to be placed. I spent my career in Greenville County, as a 1st grade teacher, in Judson, at Hollis Academy and as a District Administrator.

Over my 20+ year career, I built strong classrooms and my students excelled because I developed relationships with both my students and families, and always kept high expectations for their learning and success.

I further helped teachers implement strategies for stronger classroom and also developed and managed programs that directly increased student success, particularly in District 26 schools.

I believe every student deserves a quality education and teachers who will help them learn and grow. I believe every child can be successful, even when their successes look different than the student sitting next to them. All children need teachers who will help them discover and develop the greatness they have within. Our teachers and staff work tirelessly and their tremendous efforts should be respected and appreciated.

A strong public education system is the cornerstone to any thriving community. Making sure we have strong schools will have a direct impact in the future economy and strength of the community of District 26.

We must protect public education and ensure all students receive a quality education. Our future depends on it.

Our Community Needs Real Leadership

I believe District 26 deserves representation from someone who understands our schools from multiple perspectives: educator, parent, volunteer and community member.

  • I believe every voice deserves to be heard.
  •  I believe every child's education should be fought for.
  • I believe elected officials are public servants first and should keep the promises they make.
  • I believe someone making decisions for our schools, should be available, present and involved in our schools and community.

Most importantly, I believe decisions should always focus on what is best for the students, families, educators in our community.

District 26 deserves someone who is actually FROM our community and will fight FOR our community.

I would be honored to serve as your next School Board Trustee. I promise to continue working hard for our children, our schools and our communities, just as I always have.

Our children and our community deserve someone to fight for them, but I can't get there without your help!

I need your support. I need your vote.

I need volunteers and donations to win!

Let's work together and give our children the education they deserve!
